Shawn Saunders book "The Covenant of Peace" held my attention from the moment that I began to read it! It is timely and relevant for the times that we live in. While it may be a confirmation to some it will definitely be a wake up call to others.5/5(7). Sing, o barren one, you who did not bear; break forth into singing and cry aloud, you who did not travail with child! For the [spiritual] children of the desolate one will be more than the children of the married wife, says the Lord. 2 Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; spare not; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes, 3 For you. COVENANT OF LIFE AND PEACE. Malachi &6 “My covenant was with Levi, it was a covenant of life and peace, And I gave my commandments to him that he might fear Me; GOD IS SO CLEAR ON HOW WE SHOULD LIVE. Consider His summary of the life of His Priest – Levi. 1. HONOUR – So he feared Me. 2. HUMILITY – And was reverent before My name. 3. Malachi "My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him [for] the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name." The Eternal Covenant of Peace - “Sing, O barren one, who did not bear; break forth into singing and cry aloud, you who have not been in labor! For the children of the desolate one will be more than the children of her who is married,” says the LORD. “Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; do not hold back; lengthen your cords and. The entire Book of Hebrews is about the New Covenant. In order for us to live the New Covenant, we need a background study of the First Covenant and the New Covenant. In the new covenant the allegiance of the human partner in the covenant is not left in question.
My desire is to depart and be with Christ, for that is far better. (Philippians –23 ESV) People of God’s covenant understand that our possession beyond the grave is better and more precious than anything or anyone on this side of life. This covenant changes everything. Come to the covenant of peace and let God change everything. KJV: My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name. WEB: "My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him that he might be reverent toward me; and he was reverent toward me, and stood in awe of my . One would think that peace, a term that occurs as many as one hundred times in the New Testament, would enjoy a prominent place in theology and ethics textbooks. Yet it is surprisingly absent. Willard Swartley's Covenant of Peace remedies this deficiency, restoring to New Testament theology and ethics the peace that many works have missed. In this comprehensive yet accessible book Swartley 5/5(1). My covenant was with him of life and peace ..” (). He reminded them of the former spirit of Levi under Phinehas, loving knowledge and teaching the truth, turning many from iniquity. But they had corrupted the covenant of Levi; they had profaned it by putting away their Jewish wives to marry strangers; they had perverted judgment.
